Prosperity bracelets are crocheted by the women of the Abataka Collective in Lusaka, Zambia. These amazing stackable jewels are made of glass 'seed' style beads that are crocheted onto complimentary coloured semi-stretchy cord. Sold as one size fits all, the bracelets are approximately 1.25cm (1/2 ") thick and 20cm (8") in diameter, best fitting wrist sizes around 17.5 – 21.5cm in diameter. They roll over the hand for easy wear and look even more fun & unique when stacked with multiple Prosperity bracelets together.
Each bracelet comes with a card explaining the meaning behind them, and a cute, brightly coloured fabric pouch.

The sale of Same Sky bracelets directly supports these women working in artisan cooperatives in Rwanda and Zambi. These women artisans are able to earn substantially more than the average wage of most women in sub-Saharan Africa. Working in these cooperatives, the women find a forum where they can openly discuss and begin to tackle the social concerns of their communities such as poverty, family planning, HIV/AIDS, and violence against women. For these women, joining a cooperative can be the first step toward, not only, financial stability but rehabilitation, and hope for the future.
